December Updates
Edgemont School Apparel Update
Hello Parents and Guardians,
We are happy to announce that Beast Inc. will be our new apparel provider for the school year!
They are a local company we have worked with in the past and are the spirit wear provider for Tom Baines school.
As December is a busy month for all, online orders will take place in the new year beginning January 8, 2024. Further communication to follow.
New this year will be a "gold" colour offering! Royal blue will continue to be offered as well.
Both colours will be available in your choice of t-shirts, long sleeves and hoodies, in youth and adult sizes.
If you have any questions please contact edgemontschoolapparel@gmail.com
Thank you for all your patience and continued support.

Festive Fun for staff & Students
Here are some fun theme days for next week:
Monday, Dec 18th – Rock your holiday socks Day🧦. Tuesday, Dec 19th– Holiday Headwear🎅🏻. Wednesday, Dec 20th – Plaid Day 👕· Thursday, Dec 21st – Festive Sweater Day 🎄·
Friday, Dec. 22nd - Festive Pajama Day 👖 ·
Dressing for these days is completely voluntary, but a fun way to celebrate some school spirit as we near the Winter Break.
Student Pick Up and Drop Off
The hill to enter the parking lot is very slippery and steep in bad weather. With the traffic you may have to stop before entering the parking lot. To avoid sliding into cars, parking attendants, or pedestrians, please do not enter the parking lot if you do not have four-wheel drive or winter tires. Thank you for driving safe so we can keep everyone safe.

Grade 3 and 4 Recorders
As part of the music curriculum, students in Grade 3 and 4, will begin a unit on recorder starting in the January 2024.
It is recommended that each student purchase their own recorder, but if you are unable to do so, the school has extra soprano recorders that can cleaned and assigned to your child for the entire unit.
If you decide to buy one, I would suggest the Yamaha Soprano German Recorder from Long and McQuade. They are priced at approximately $9.00 and are a good quality recorder that will last for several years. Please have your child bring their instrument to school by January 16th 2024. I will be asking the students to leave the recorders at school during the months of January and February as we work on techniques, before bringing them home to practice.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you.

Thank you parent volunteers
A big thank you to the parents who helped with the Celebration of Learning. Sets, costumes, heaving the risers back on the stage! The evening was a complete success.
