What to Bring

If you are new to our school community know that students do not need to bring school supplies as they are purchased in bulk by the school. Parents pay a one time $40 fee (Grades 1-5) and one time $20 fee for kindergarten, billed to your MyCBE account mid October.

Students should come with:

• A large backpack
• A lunch in a lunch bag, and a mid day snack
• A water bottle
• Indoor shoes
• A change of clothes in a labelled Ziplock bag (especially for younger students)

August 31, 2026 -First Day of School:

• Arrive between 9:00am- 9:15am
• Your child’s teacher will have contacted you by email on the Friday of the week before school. Please pay attention to your email (Subscribe to School messages).
• You will meet your child’s teacher in the Field/ Panorama room. Please look for the grade signs and the teacher’s name. 
• A map of the meeting points will also be emailed to you.
• Parents of kindergarten students will be notified of am/pm class placements in mid June. Teachers will email parents with arrival times for staggered.

At Edgemont School

• Students come to school by walking, biking and scootering, buses and by cars.
• If you are driving, please be aware of our driving Hug and Go procedure for our round about. 
• There is no parking in the round about.
• Additionally please pay attention to staff directions and don’t park in the bus zone. Our priority is safety- Your patience is needed and appreciated.
• If you intend to wait with your child, please park in the community centre parking lot or the upper parking lot and walk with them to the field for drop off.
• Students can not be unsupervised in the park before or after school.
