Notice of Intent 

This is a friendly reminder to please let us know your plans for the 2026–2027 school year. 

Notice of Student Intentions for 2026-2027 – Fill out form 

Please fill out one form for each child that you will have attending Edgemont School in the 2026-2027 School Year. 
Please note that if Edgemont School is not your child's designated school, your enrolment will be reviewed later in the spring when we can better determine whether we can accommodate your enrolment request.  
Thank you for your help in providing the most up to date and accurate information possible. 

Calgary Opera 

On Monday, March 2, students will have the opportunity to see a performance, Little Red Riding Hood, by the Calgary Opera. We would like to thank our School Council for making this possible. 

Friendly Reminder 

Please be reminded that at the end of each school day, there is no teacher supervision of students. Once teachers have dismissed their students, the students are to go directly to the buses or directly home. If parents/guardians are at school to pick up their children and wish to stay at the playground, we ask that parents/guardians be close by and visibly present, so that we know our students are safe after school hours.

On Thursday, February 12 and Friday, February 13 there is no school for students due to the Teachers’ Convention and Support Staff Convention.   

Monday, February 16 is the Family Day holiday. School will resume on Tuesday, February 17. We hope students and families have a wonderful extended long weekend spending time together enjoying the great weather! 

Tell us your plans for the 2026-2027 School Year.  

It is the time of year that we are starting to make plans next year. Each year at this time the CBE gives schools information about the number of students the system believes will be attending our school next year. The accuracy of this information is vitally important when we consider the number of classrooms and number of staff that we will have next year. With that in mind we are asking families to let us know their intentions for the 2026-2027 school year. Should you be unsure about your plans for next year that is important information for us to know as well. Please indicate that you are unsure and we can follow up with you at a later date.

Lost & Found

Our ‘lost and found’ is overflowing. Parents and guardians are invited to come check for lost items. The best time to check is after 3:50 PM. So please come next week to check the lost and found items. Leftover clothing will be donated in the morning on Friday, February 20.

ESC Meeting 

Join us for our upcoming Edgemont School Council Meeting on Wednesday, February 18th at 6:30 pm in the School Learning Commons. It’s a great opportunity to connect with other families, share ideas, and help support our school community.
